WELCOME TO SEASON 2012!

On behalf of the Montrose Junior Soccer Club we would like to welcome returning and new players and their families to the upcoming 2012 season.

We’ve come along way since 2008 when 19 players participated in Under 6/7 gala days. This is our fifth season, and we’ll be fielding 9 teams and 20+ players in Under 6/7. We’re excited by being able to field our first Girls team in the Under 14s.

As the playing numbers grow, so does the pressure on our facilitites. The committee is working hard to improve the pitches and clubrooms and fulfill our Towards 2015 Plan, please read the update here.

I urge all players and parents to make themselves familiar with our Code of Conduct. It is important that all our players enjoy the opportunity to play soccer but also respect the rules, officials and other players.

Towards 2015 January 2012 update

2012 is the third year of our five year strategic plan to improve the facilities at Keith Hume Fraser Reserve and we are finally starting to see the results of our hard work.

A ring drain has been installed around the bottom pitch which should see drainage improve by around 30-40% on that pitch. The council has also agreed to top dress and re-seed the top pitch prior to the season commencing.
