Ringwood Gala Day – 15th MAY

The highly successfully Gala Days continue in 2010

Boronia, Croydon City Arrows, Montrose, Mooroolbark and Ringwood City will run Gala Days within the Eastern region during the SSF season.

Under 6 and 7 SSF participants will experience of club versus club football within the Small-Sided Football formats. Each club can field as many teams in each age group as they wish.  Each team may consist of as many players as the team wishes with a maximum of 4 on the field at any one time.  There is no limit to the number of interchanges.  Each club must provide a Game Leader for each team participating on the day.

What is the Gala Day format?

Each Gala Day will commence with a team registration and introductory period starting at 9:30 am.  Teams will be organised into 2 experience levels - Joeys for the less experienced and Kangaroos for the more experienced.  Each club has the responsibility for assessing the players and assigning them into teams of the appropriate grading.

Each team will then play 2 games within their age group, each of 2 x 15 minute halves with the first round commencing at approximately 10:15 am. Multiple games for each experience level will be held concurrently.  The Gala Day should conclude by 12:00 - 12:15 pm.

Specific fixtures for the day will be published by the host club when the number of teams in each age group from each club is known.
